Cleansing Ritual Bath

Cleansing Ritual Bath

Water is often thought of as the most essential of the Elements for sustaining life. Humans, of course, cannot live without it, and the same is true of animals and plant life. Before the advent of roads, water provided humans with the most efficient means of travel, and it is still host to one quarter of the biodiversity found on Earth. Associated with the Moon, psychic abilities, dreams, and the realm of emotions, the Water Element is a shape-shifter, moving easily throughout the world by following the path of least resistance. Ritual baths are beautiful ways to connect with the spirit of water, and allowing it to cleanse you of what no longer serves.
What you will need:
-Bathtub
-Poseidon Candle
-Selkie Salt Soak
-Optional, music, incense, crystals
Fill your bath with warm/hot water to your temperature preference, and light your candle. When doing so, give gratitude for the water, thanking it for it's gift of sustenance, and it's ability to clean and cleanse. Turn off any other lights. Use additional candles if needed.
Add 1/2-full bag of the Salt Soak. You can either add it to the water, or put it in a muslin or organza bag to contain the herbs.  Soak for about 20-30 minutes. While you do so, make it your intention to let go of all negativity. You can pray for the release of any energy that you no longer wish to carry, or that is not for your highest good. You can also ask for spiritual support to raise your spiritual vibration.
When you are ready, pull the plug or open the drain in the tub. As the water runs down the drain, picture with it all your stress and unwanted energy being washed away with it. Blow out the candle and thank the spirits of both water and fire for assisting you.
